This Music director's original composition was in Kannada. He used the same tune in one of his tamil films. The song is not hit in tamil. Kannada movie released in early 80s. Tamil movie in mid 80s. Recently this MD has used the same tune in his Hindi film.

the last clue helped me finding the song. illana sathyama enaku therinju irukaathu :D

"Vizhiyile Mani Vizhiyile" from Nooravathu Naal. The hindi film is Cheeni kum.

The song is 'Vizhiyile' from 'Nooraavadhu naal'.
MD is IR and Director - Manivannan.
The original composition was 'Jothe jothe from the Kannada movie 'Geetha'.

Recently, IR used this lyrics for Cheeni Kum and Shreya Goshal sang the hindi version.
